After listening to the last 3 songs we had left, we immediately crossed out 2 songs, 'Blurred' and 'Rollercoaster' because they had extremely high numbers (8 million). It is so important that the numbers are low because otherwise the song can be recognizable and there has already been a campaign for them making our job of creating an original campaign unnecessary.
We then chose our favourite songs as a group, choosing between 'Aquarium', 'Take it or leave it', 'Sunshine of our life', 'Peach' and 'Hot and Heavy'. We then listened to the beginning of them again to see which ones jumped out to us and we decided to present 'Peach', 'Sunshine in our life' and 'Take it or leave it'.

We were told that the voice behind the song has a personality that we can pull out and shape easily as it is young and lively. Because of this, it is easily castable in our school as there are plenty of young boy that could suit the voice. The song also has good numbers which is one of the biggest deciding factors when considering which songs we can choose between. Not only that but the song has a band which gives you more people to cast and rehearse, however, it could give us a more interesting video.

Although the song is not the most lively there is a personality that could be pulled out and shaped. It is not the most marketable song because of its melancholic atmosphere and the music video would not 'go anywhere' as the song meanders and doesn't really have a chorus. The emotional tone will always match the pictures, therefore, each shot would have to be pleasing to the eye and interesting because it would be a slow cut to match the song. The issue with that in this song is that it sounds more like aa singer than a band, so there is less to shoot while trying to make the shots interesting. Despsite that, it is castable within the school.

Although this song has quite a few streams, it is still low enough where we can create a campaign without it being recognisable. It is a classic indie rock song and as a result it will look how it would onstage, making the music video straightforward to film as people would expect it to be traditional to the genre.
+ Castable
Subsequent to presenting our songs to our teachers (Phil and Matt), we decided to eliminate 'Sunshine in our life' as one of our song options as the type of music video it would become did not excite any of us and we preferred the atmosphere in the other two songs. Now we will take a look at people in our school and see which song we would be able to cast well that suits the vibe of the song.
